        suits.  East dislikes the prospects of discarding the DQ, knowing 
        West will be finessed.  Conceding a Club also looks hopeless so East 
        discards the SQ, hoping 
        West controls the suit (true here).   South continues with the 
        CK, 
        this time squeezing West to play the 
        D9; North's
        S6, the 
        last outstanding Spade, is a  known threat card which forces West 
        to hold the SK.  Declarer 
        can now run Diamonds.
