Note: Check
with the regulating body to validate usage of Rubens Advances in duplicate
play. At one time, the ACBL's instructions were:
Rubens Advances are permitted
by the General Chart if the bid was made after the opening bidder's
rebid.
Before the opening bidder's
rebid, Rubens Advances are permitted under the Mid-Chart."
Partners
should develop agreements to handle systems on/systems off scenarios, such
as when opener's partner makes a call; many play Ruben Advances are still on
provided opponent's suit is a lower denomination than overcaller's suit; if
responder makes a double, advancer's redouble may incorporate methods such
as the Rosencrantz Double. |
