    indicating a two-suited hand:

        1H or 1S, most players include include Michaels cuebid in the 
        balancing (passout) seat - partnership agreements vary when opener 
        begins with 1C or 1D. |  
        | (1S) - 3S | Western Cuebid, asking 
        partner to bid 3N with a stopper |  
        | (2S) - 3S | Western Cuebid, asking 
        partner to bid 3N with a stopper |  
    Variations to the Michaels Cuebid include: restricting its use to 
    weak/strong hands (less than 12 points or more than 15 points), allowing 4 
    cards in the higher of the two suits, etc.  Michael's Cuebid was created by Charles 
    Goren's playing partner, Michael Michaels.  The  
    Unusual Notrump 
    performs a similar function to the Michaels Cuebid, albeit describing 
    different suits.
